Wyatt's Blue Ribbon Brownies

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup self-rising flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Grease and flour an 8×8 or 9×9 inch baking pan.
In a bowl, beat together the butter and sugar.
Add eggs, and mix well.
Combine the flour, cocoa and salt; stir into the sugar mixture.
Mix in the vanilla and walnuts

Spread batter into the baking pan.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are firm.

Cool before cutting brownies.

6 ounces unsweetened chocolate
2 cups granulated sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
4 eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup chocolate chips or coarsely chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 325°. Butter and flour an 8-by-8 inch baking pan.
Melt butter and chocolate over medium-low heat, stirring until well blended.
Remove butter/chocolate mixture from heat, and stir in sugar and vanilla extract.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in flour; mix in chocolate chips or chopped nuts.
Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan.
Sprinkle chocolate chips or chopped nuts evenly across surface.
Bake in a 325° oven for about 45-55-minutes or until brownie feels dry on top.
Let the brownies cool in the pan on a rack.
When completely cool, cut into squares and store airtight.
Cut into bit-sized pieces and enjoy!
